Julie Holland – Author

Hello and welcome to my 'books' page on the Hearts and Minds Art website
My partner Greg and I have owned our Noosa business for many years, and it has played a part (anonymously and not so anonymously!) in my stories.
As mentioned, I live in Noosa in Queensland which is a stunning part of Australia after making our ‘sea change’ from Melbourne together. ‘Choice of location’ plays a very strong role in my stories. I love writing about middle to later age women and all the choices that come to the fore at that time – location, money, romance and friendships, children or lack of, parents or lack of, career options etc. All my stories are humorous, heartfelt, inclusive and HEA. I hope you enjoy reading them and always appreciate feedback and reviews.
I am also passionate about writing inspirational verse, with my little book of verse SEASONS available at Hearts and Minds Art.
That Summer in Nautilus Cove was awarded a UK Love Reading Badge and one of my short stories was included in the RWA Erotic Fiction Anthology. My poem The Last Day of Summer appeared in the Amazon #1 Bestseller Soulful Poems anthology.
I hope you enjoy my books and would love to hear from you. Star and written reviews on online platforms such as Amazon also help indie authors like me to be seen – thank you!

THAT SUMMER IN NAUTILUS COVE
What do you pack to pursue a dream and what do you leave behind? Marnie Fawkner just wanted to escape the demands of adult children, job hunting and selling her house. So when her sister Libby asks her to mind her house and dog, Marnie jumps at the chance to spend a couple of weeks in paradise. She never expected a simple favour would change her life. "This is a heart-warming sea chance story of self-discovery."

HERE-After
Sometimes to move on, you have to cleanse the past. An old terrace house in South Melbourne. A resident ghost eager to reveal secrets. Abigail Croucher hoping to move on with her life. "This is a story about love and betrayal, about belief and possibility. It is concerned with the notion of 'after-life' - life after heartbreak, after loss and grieving, after great change - and the possibilities not just an 'after-world' but a happy after-life."
